Welcome to Leach Homestead in Johnston

Leach Homestead Campground is the perfect spot to enjoy the natural beauty and history of South Carolina. We have 50 acres of rolling hills, thick woods, and quiet ponds, offering a peaceful escape for families and travelers who just want to slow down for a while.

Easy-to-use Rv Sites

Full hookups for a stress-free stay

Our new RV sites were built to make your stay easy. Each spot includes 50, 30, and 110 amp electrical hookups, plus water and sewer. These are spacious back-in sites with flat gravel surfaces, so it is easy to park your trailer or camper van and still have plenty of room to open your slideouts.

The RV sites were level and easy to get into. Having full hookups made our stay so much more comfortable.

Trails, fishing, and local history

You can spend your days fishing in our stocked ponds or relaxing on our sandy beach. We provide free kayaks if you want to get out on the water, and we have plenty of walking and 4-wheeler trails through the woods. If you like history, you can even walk down to the banks of Mine Creek, which played a part in local Civil War history.

From the fishing ponds to the sandy beach, there was always something to do. Our kids loved the kayak rentals!

A pet-friendly, welcoming environment

We believe everyone should enjoy the outdoors, including your dogs. Our campground is off-leash friendly and focused on families. We will even provide the firewood for your nightly campfire. If you need anything during your stay, just reach out to our host, Victor—he is always happy to help.

It is hard to find a place that is truly off-leash friendly. Our dog had as much fun as we did.

Stretch out across 50 acres of rolling forest, open fields, and stocked fishing ponds. We offer full RV hookups starting at $55 a day and primitive tent sites for $40, giving you the perfect home base for exploring. Between our sandy swimming beach and the historic trails of Mine Creek, there is plenty to do. We are pet-friendly and have special rates for weekly or monthly stays, so feel free to stay as long as you like.
